Managing social media risks

Understand the risks of being online and learn practical strategies to manage these risks

Masterclass overview

Effective and ethical engagement online, particularly on social media, is a critical skill for local councillors in the modern age.

Whilst there are a number of benefits social media can bring, there are also numerous risks and challenges for councillors in the social media space. If these risks are poorly managed, there can be personal costs for individual councillors and organisational damage for the council.

Social media is also a rapidly evolving domain with new risks emerging for councillors.

This interactive masterclass will give councillors the practical skills and knowledge needed to confidently and ethically navigate these risks.

The online masterclass is one hour with a maximum of 10 participants.
